Date of Establishment
In April 2004, Mr. Ismail NASSIF founded the company Ismawood, with 100% of the capital held by the NASSIF family. The company established itself on Moulay Ismail Boulevard and was dedicated to importing and commercializing wood and wood-based panels. It quickly flourished thanks to its President's extensive experience, solid reputation, and favorable market conditions.
Purchase of Headquarters
In 2007, Ismawood acquired an 11,000-square-meter plot in the Ain Sebaa district and constructed a modern headquarters and warehouses to accommodate its merchandise. The team grew from 40 to 60 employees.
Acquisition of Shares in Manorbois Company
In 2007, Ismawood acquired a 36% stake in Manorbois Company, which operates seven branches across Morocco. This acquisition was made in partnership with the investment fund Maroc Invest, while the French group CFAO divested its stake in Manorbois. By taking this step, Ismawood further strengthened its position as a market leader in the wood industry.
Purchase of the Mohammedia Factory
In 2012, Ismawood acquired the former American Steelcase Strafor factory in the heart of Mohammedia on Hassan II Avenue. With an area of 27,000m2, including 18,000m2 of covered space, Ismawood started the production of veneered particle boards called "ISMAPAN" and plywood panels called "ISMAPLY." The team expanded to 130 employees.
Acquisition of Majority Stake in Manorbois
In October 2017, Ismawood increased its stake in Manorbois, acquiring a majority shareholding as the investment fund Maroc Invest exited the company. This strategic move allowed Ismawood to become the majority shareholder and formed an influential group in the wood market by merging the two companies.
Acquisition of 2,200 square meters
Expansion of the headquarters' storage area by acquiring an adjacent plot measuring 2,200 square meters.
